Thunder is the 3rd unlockable ability. It strikes a number (dependent on research) of random enemies, which drop 200% of their coins value if killed by this ability. One enemy can be struck by multiple charges if there are less enemies than the number of charges. If no valid targets are present, charges will be preserved until new enemies emerge from the portals.
Trophy "MODIFIER: MINING SPEED" increases coins dropped by enemies killed by Thunder by 10% (210% total).

Strategy[]
Because of the increased coin drops from killed enemies, Thunder can be used in very early waves to quickly amass a good amount of coins and subsequently have all Bounty modifiers running at full efficiency much sooner than usual. It can also be used to dispatch low density waves of enemies such as Jet. Since the charges are split between enemies on the map, Thunder excells at killing isolated bosses while also doubling the coins they drop.
