Starts firing very slowly at the target, but firing speed increases with each shot up to a maximum, and slows while not attacking. Firing speed is also immediately dropped by one third when changing targets (even when switch could otherwise occur with no time gap).
Minigun has Acceleration as its Unique Characteristic.
Acceleration - The rate (in %) of increase of firing speed [% of Attack Speed] per each shot at its target. Higher acceleration, reduces the time needed to reach the maximum firing speed.
Increasing Tower experience level increases acceleration.
Acceleration = 15 + 0.9 / Tower Experience Level
Minigun initially starts firing slowly at 0% acceleration, with each shot, the firing speed increases as the amount depends on "Acceleration" stat. Once it reaches 100% acceleration, the firing speed will reach its "Attack Speed" stat.
Whenever Minigun switches targets, its firing speed is reduced by 33% (66% of its previous firing speed).
If Minigun is not attacking, its firing speed decreases rapidly.
Minigun does not have "Projectile Speed" since its projectiles instantly hits its target.

Hot Bullets - Once Minigun reaches its maximum firing speed, it will activate burning effect.
Choosing Foundation abilities changes burning effect to poison effect.
Minigun's burning effect decreases Freezing effectivenesses from towers by 33% (behaves like Flamethrower).
Heavy Mechanism - Boosts average attack speed (while accelerating its firing speed) by 6.25%
Minigun boasts the highest DPS for single target. Its advantage against slow enemies such as Armored and Healer. However despite this it only deals half damage to Strong enemies. It also can attack air enemies as well making it a generalist tower against Air enemies.
It's rotation speed however makes it a poor choice when dealing with clusters of enemies since by the time it faces the enemy, the enemy already went out of Minigun's range.
Minigun struggles against fast enemies since they do less damage and also less time to focus on them
Minigun is widely used against bosses since they always deal 100% damage to them and can deal the maximum amount of dps against it.
If there is a freezing tower nearby, always get Foundation to replace Hot Bullets with poison as its Exp Level 10 effect will remove freezing effect making it a nuisance for other towers to hit it.
Minigun is best against boss levels (custom maps, .8 levels) but not against all others since every wave features a group of enemies rather than just having only one enemy per wave.
Minigun weakness is its inability to attack Fighter enemies which requires other towers such as Sniper / Flamethrower to be able to remove Fighters.
Best tile placement: Damage/Attack Speed
Damage boosts its already impressive single target DPS. Useful alongside Heavy Weapon ability which is a core for Minigun.
Attack Speed boosts its already impressive attack speed. It also increases firing speed as it is % of attack speed. Use Attack Speed tile if you are going to get the Heavy Mechanism ability which also increases its attack speed by 25% giving it a whopping 56.25% attack speed boost when firing at full firing speed.
Optimal 2 Abilities: Heavy Weapon/Foundation, Heavy Weapon/Heavy Mechanism
Heavy Weapon is a must have. The 25% damage is a free stat for all Miniguns to take.
Foundation: Despite being a horrible ability (with research), it is needed since it will change its Hot Bullets ability to being Poison Effect. Without foundation, Minigun will interfere with Freezing Slow effect. This poison effect will perform the same as Burning effect except it will not remove the slow effect from Freezing. Always get this if you are using Freezing Tower. Also useful in Daily challenges as researches are disabled and minigun has extremely low rotation speed making it difficult to chase enemies.
Heavy Mechanism: Boosts attack speed overall (while charging) by 6.25% and 25% at full charge. Overall, this does not have a downside. Though if there is no Freezing Tower available in daily quest, it is viable choice alongside Heavy Weapons.
