Level 1.b1 is the bonus level of Stage 1 and the 13th overall.

Overview[]

This level has a 30-tile road that seems to resemble a llama's head. 14 platforms are on the inside of the level, 3 of which are bonus tiles. 7 platforms, one being a Range III platform, and a 100% Scalar source lay above the road, and 2 below. There is also an isolated 100% 50/50 Tensor/Infiar source on the far right.

Has the player not maxed out all the upgrade level researches, all towers' maximum upgrade levels are increased by 2. The maximum experience level is also raised by 5. For newer players, Splash is also available and has +10% its regular Damage and Attack speed.

As a bonus level, there are only 75 waves. However, they are not much harder than the main story levels.

Strategy[]

  • Place a Sniper on the Attack speed platform and a Basic/Cannon on the Range platform. The Sniper needs the added Attack speed to deal with clustered Strong waves; Basics and Cannons have reduced effectiveness against them.
  • Since towers have 2 more upgrade levels and 5 more experience levels, it is better to upgrade a few towers rather than buying more.
  • Avoid using Splash. Even with Rifled barrels + Freezing and the added benefits from the base, it is only effective against Fast and you already have better alternatives.
    • However, it does contribute to the "Kills with bullets during one game" quest.
  • Avoid BOUNTY modifiers unless you are playing for score.
