Infinitode 2 Wiki

Level 0.2 is the second tutorial level of Infinitode 2. It introduces upgrading towers, targeting, and detailed mode, which allows the player to track tower upgrade and experience levels, as well as portal difficulties and spawns.

Overview[]

The 9-tile road is shaped like a half rest symbol, wrapping around 3 platforms. There is a 20% Scalar source (that is unusable as miners have not been introduced yet) right of the upper rightmost road. Next to it, the synthesiser will play above the base.

It is possible to achieve the «How?» achievement on this level. All you have to do is not upgrade the other Basics or keep changing their targeting so they can't launch projectiles, allowing 20 enemies to reach the base. Do note this is much harder to pull off than the previous level, as you are required to buy 3 towers rather than just one, and you have to switch their targeting individually. It is more doable on a touchscreen device.

Like the previous level, you can't disable or sell the towers (the latter of which is not mentioned in the Base effects), so this is your only choice.

Dialogue[]

Brackets indicate an event that occurs between the dialogue. Italicised content represents the corresponding quest.

ADVINAS: You can view what kind of Enemies will appear on the next Wave and prepare the defense against them. Tap on the Portal to view the next enemy waves.
[Tap on Portal]
ADVINAS: Small enemy icons running from the Portal to the Base show ways in which Enemies will move in the next Wave.

ADVINAS: Looks like a large crowd of Enemies will come, we need to prepare.
ADVINAS: Build the maximum number of Towers.
[Build Basic tower (0/3)]
ADVINAS: That should do it. Let's start the first Wave.
[Protect from the first Wave]

[After no more enemies are present]
ADVINAS: Well done! (note: the text does not change if the player lost lives during the wave, which is possible with bad RNG or messing with the targeting)
ADVINAS: You coped with the first wave, but each wave will be more difficult and you'll need better defense.
ADVINAS: Currently there's no more room for new Towers, but you can Upgrade existing ones. Select any Tower and tap on the Upgrade button to see how it will be affected. Tap it again to confirm.
[Upgrade button appears when selecting a Basic; Upgrade any Tower]
ADVINAS: Now this Tower will shoot faster and do more damage.
ADVINAS: There are two kinds of Enemies in the next Wave which differ in the amount of health. It will take two shots to kill those more powerful Enemies, but your upgraded Tower will do it in one.
ADVINAS: Let's make it aim at stronger enemies. Select your upgraded Tower and change its aiming strategy to Strong.
[Set Strongest target in the upgraded Tower (only the upgraded one, not the others); Protect against the second Wave (if Auto mode was activated for Wave 1, it will be turned off and you have to manually start the wave)]

[After beating Wave 2; detailed mode will be turned off if it is active]
ADVINAS: You can see the Upgrade level of all Towers at once. To do this, turn on detailed mode.
[Drawing mode button: Tap to view detailed info on map; Turn on detailed mode]
ADVINAS: You can turn off detailed mode by tapping on that button again.
ADVINAS: Now Upgrade other Towers and deal with the third wave of enemies to complete this tutorial.
[Upgrade Towers (1/3), Defeat the third Wave]

Trivia[]

  • This level, like all tutorial levels, will not consume Rarity tickets.
    • It is also unaffected by Endless mode.
  • This is the last level in the entire game manual game speed is disabled.
  • This is the last level in the entire game with only 3 waves.
    • Before the release of level 6.3, which has 1 wave, this was the lowest wave count in the game.
  • Interestingly, when viewing the waves, Regulars appear to spawn indefinitely, rather than disappearing after wave 5 (or a multiple of 5) as shown in later levels.
