Freezing is a tower in Infinitode 2. It is a support tower that slows enemies with the Freezing effect.
Unique Characteristics[]
Freezing has Poison prolongation and Lightning bonus length as its unique characteristics.
Poison prolongation increases the duration (in seconds) of the Poison debuff. It does not affect the damage the debuff deals. By default, Poison prolongation is 20% and increase by 2.5% each experience level.
Lightning bonus length extends the chain length (in %) of Tesla. By default, the bonus length is 15% and increases by 2% each experience level.
The benefits only apply to enemies within Freezing's range.
Other Characteristics[]
Freezing does not have a Damage stat; instead, it has Freezing percent and Freezing speed. Freezing percent is how much Freezing slows enemies (caps at 65% Freezing percent, meaning enemies cannot move less than 35% of their normal speed while in range of a Freezing). Freezing speed is how fast enemies will slow down to the Freezing percent (% per second). For instance, if Freezing speed is 8.5% per second, Freezing will slow enemies by 8.5% each second until the percentage exceeds the Freezing percent.
Once enemies move out of Freezing's range, they gradually regain speed. If enemies remain within range of a Freezing (not necessarily one Freezing), the Freezing effect is constant. However, if the Freezing percent of the next Freezing is lower than the Freezing percent of the first, the Freezing percent will lower to match the new Freezing's Freezing percent, which leads to enemies gradually recovering a portion of their speed and vice-versa. For example, if an enemy leaves the Range of a 65% Freezing percent Freezing and immediately enters the Range of a 50% Freezing percent Freezing, it will recover 15% of its normal speed.
Freezing percent does not stack; enemies are only affected by the highest Freezing percent.
Since Freezing does not deal damage, it gains experience for each enemy that has been slowed within range.
Jet,
Icy with its shield, and most bosses are immune to Freezing.
Armored and Icy without its shield get slowed by half. Enemies with the Burn debuff are slowed down by 33% less for each Burn debuff (multiplicative) and take 3× longer to reach the Freezing percent.
Freezing Tower does not have a targetting system as it affects all enemies within range.

Cold evaporation: While enemies are under the effects of Freezing, they take more damage. Up to 3 Freezings can apply this debuff onto one enemy.
Slow freezing: Freezing can slow enemies more but takes longer to do so.
Monitoring system: Chooses one enemy (except enemies unaffected by it) and slows it by 1.15× the Freezing percent (can exceed the cap). This includes Icy with its shield and bosses. This will unlock targetting where the target selection affects which enemy will be slowed by this upgrade.
Snowball: When no enemies are nearby, forms a snowball for 6 seconds and launches it at the road towards the portals. The road must be within 2 tiles or the snowball won't work. The first enemy to touch the snowball will be stunned for 2 seconds. The stun duration increases by 0.55 seconds per upgrade level. However unlocking the ultimate will form a snowball regardless of enemies in range.
An enemy can only be hit by a snowball 6 times before reaching the base. If an enemy is frozen, snowballs will pass it until it can move.
Strategy[]
Freezing slows enemies so nearby towers have more time to kill them. It can cause enemy clusters since enemies move slower, allowing crowd control towers to be more effective. It also synergizes with Blast, which can trigger more stuns.
Upgrading Freezing to level 10 is not necessary since Freezing percent caps at 65% and you get some Freezing percent from experience levels. At best, the player should generally upgrade it to level 8 for larger range for total cost of 2,862 gold. Level 8 -> 9 does not provide increase of range and Level 9 -> 10 is generally not worth it for increase in 0.2 range for 2,200 gold
Build Freezing all over the map to constantly slow enemies down and produce more Snowballs. Try to build in groups of 3 to take advantage of Cold evaporation. Try to also build them on Range and Power platforms. Range allows Freezing to slow more enemies, while Power allows it to reach the 65% Freezing percent cap easier.
It is beneficial to use SEARCH modifier even though that the effect is very redundant for it but it improves its Range
Generally it is very poor to pair this with Flamethrower tower as it weakens the freezing effect unless it is equipped with Cold Fire.
Optimal Abilities: Cold Evaporation, Slow Freezing, and Ultimate
Cold evaporation supports other towers since it will give them more damage. Put 3 near each other and give a whopping 9% bonus damage to each attack.
Slow freezing is generally needed to reach the 65% Freezing percent cap under normal circumstances. This is widely used in Daily Quests due to the lack of researches.
Ultimate allows you to constantly generate snowballs regardless of enemies in range. It is generally picked over powerful due to its ability to stun enemies.
Alternative Ability Combinations
- Cold evaporation, Slow freezing, and Powerful: Useful if you won't have the coins to get to the 65% cap or the snowballs wouldn't be useful.
- Cold evaporation, Monitoring system, and Ultimate: Helps to level up the tower quicker. Especially useful if you have the tower on a Power tile or are planning to attach Power modifiers. Also useful if you are building them for the snowballs or are clumping Freezings together for Cold evaporation. It can also be useful later in the game to attach a Balance Mod to the tower to level up other towers. After adding the freezing projectiles to Monitoring system this variation can also help with clumping enemies up or targeted slowing. Monitoring System slow also works with bosses in which can be also a pickup if the level contains bosses (mainly in custom maps)
Endless Strategy[]
Compared to its normal counterpart
- With higher maximum experience level, Freezing will naturally reach 65% freezing percent which the Slow Freezing ability is no longer needed allowing Freezing Speed to slow to its maximum 65%. Additional power that this point will affect how fast an enemy will slow to 65%. With monitoring system ability, it is extremely easy to level it up very quickly.
- With access to increase it's range, not only the coverage to slow enemy increases but also levels the tower much faster reaching the 65% much easier and allows cold evaporation to fully stack with each other from other Freezing at farther distances.
- Because of the 65% freezing percent, generally it is not worth leveling up its upgrade level to 10 and mainly capped out at level 8 for gold efficiency for higher range. Level 9 does not provide increase range. For maps that are large, upgrading to level 10 is needed mainly for the Range increase
- Cold Evaporation provides bonus damage and can stack more from additional Freezing nearby
Optimal 2 Abilities: Monitoring System -> Cold Evaporation
- Slow Freezing is generally never used in Endless due to how easily 65% can be reached.
- Monitoring System is generally picked first to quickly level up freezing to reach 65% and also unlock Cold Evaporation much sooner.
- Ultimate is much better than Powerful as Powerful does not generally improve its effectiveness

ADVINAS Introduction[]
ADVINAS: There's something new for you on this level; we call it Freezing tower.
ADVINAS: Freezing tower has an aura that slows down enemies nearby and will also give bonuses for towers you'll unlock later.
ADVINAS: It can't damage enemies but will give you extra time before enemies reach your base.
