Leveling up the tower increases the Explosion Range
Explosion Range: 0.6 + 0.03/Tower Experience Level tiles (Max: 2.5 tiles)
Whenever Cannon's projectiles collide on a enemy, it explodes, creating an explosion that expands outward dealing damage to all the enemies onto it. The damage is reduced the further away other enemies are from the hit location. In addition, enemies can absorb parts of the explosion damage which reduces the damage to enemies behind it.
The Explosion Range is the size of the explosion created after impact.
The Explosion expands linearly and lasts for 0.1 + 0.4 * Explosion Range seconds.
Cannon Damage has two multipliers that affects the total damage (for individual enemy)
- The first multiplier is equivalent to 1 - Enemy Distance Between Explosion * 0.8/Explosion Radius
- The second multiplier is explosion arc damage. An explosion is split into 20 arcs in a 360 degree circle (1 arc per 18 degrees). For each enemy that is hit in that particular arc, the arc damage is reduced to 66% of its amount and the adjacent arcs damage are reduced to 83% of its amount (stacks multiplicatively)
- Once an arc has less than 5% damage, that arc will not deal any damage.
- If foundation is learned, the arc damage is reduced to 79.2% of its amount and adjacent arc damage are reduced to 89.6% of its amount.

Shrapnel generates 3 splinters shots from the point of explosion and pointing at random directions flying at distance of 2 tiles. Each shrapnel can hit one enemy dealing 60% of the "Damage" stat. Enemies hit from shrapnel can also be hit by the explosion as well.
Mental Pressure- HP condition is checked before the damage is dealt from its attacks and damage boost applies to all enemies hit from explosion, projectile, and shrapnel .
Foundation - See Other Characteristics
Cannon tower is a good tower to be using before you unlock Flamethrower. Its explosion can produce heavy damage which is able to demolish clusters enemies at a quick pace.
Cannon can easily demolish Fast and Icy enemies very quickly since they have lower health but being able to do 150% more damage to them allowing high threat fast enemies to be removed. With Mental Pressure, it is easier to clear cluster of enemies even faster.
Best tile placement: Damage and Attack Speed
Damage tile gives cannon more Damage on its explosions, projectile, and shrapnel. Also synergizes with Mental Pressure, amplifying the damage even more.
Attack speed is another viable option allowing to perform more attacks and more splash damage.
If tower's range is not researched enough, Range may provide coverage your Cannon would need.
Optimal 2 Abilities: Shrapnel / Long Barrel (with research), Foundation / Long Barrel (without research)
Shrapnel allows Cannon to hit 3 more enemies giving more enemy hitting potential.
Long Barrel is a must, as it boosts Cannon's short range allowing it to cover more distance.
Foundation is helpful when Cannon lacks research, but becomes useless later on.
Mental Pressure is a lvl 10 ability which helps Cannon finish off enemies quicker. As the game progresses, this potential gets lower, so rushing Cannon to lvl 10 to use most of the ability is preferred.

Advinas: It is very effective against a large crowd, as its shells explode and cause damage to all enemies nearby.
Advinas: ... also a little slow, and more expensive, but still try it!
- When affected by Magnet ability, the explosions from Cannon and Missile will increase MDPS, but the projectiles won't.
- Cannon's shrapnel projectiles are affected by magnet just like regular projectiles are.
- Shrapnel can extend within the same radius as the explosion radius before despawning.
- Cannon, Missile, Flamethrower, and Blast all start with AoE attacks. Freezing's mechanics also work in AoE fashion.
