The Cannon is a tower in Infinitode 2. It has low Range and Rotation speed but fires explosive projectiles that inflict damage on multiple targets.
Unique Characteristics[]
Cannon has Explosion range as its unique characteristic. Explosion range is the size of the explosion caused by projectiles. Explosion range is 0.6 tile by default and increases by 0.03 divided by the Cannon's XP level. It has a maximum of 2.5 tiles.
Other Characteristics[]
Whenever Cannon's projectiles hit a enemy, the projectile explodes and deals damage to the surrounding enemies. The damage is reduced the farther enemies are from the impact. In addition, enemies can absorb part of the explosion damage, reducing damage to enemies behind it. The Explosion expands linearly and lasts for 0.1 second by default, plus 2/5 the Explosion range.
Cannon Damage has two multipliers that affects the total damage:
- The first multiplier is equivalent to 1 - distance from explosion * 0.8/Explosion radius.
- The second multiplier is explosion arc damage. An explosion is split into 20 18° arcs. For each enemy hit in that particular arc, the arc damage is reduced to 66% of its amount and the adjacent arcs' damage are reduced to 83% of their amount (multiplicative).
- Once an arc deals less than 5% of its regular damage, that arc will not deal damage.
- If Foundation is learned, the arc damage is reduced to 79.2% of its amount and adjacent arc damage are reduced to 89.6% of its amount.

Shrapnel shoots 3 splinters 2 tiles from the point of explosion in random directions. Each shrapnel can hit one enemy dealing 60% of Damage. Enemies hit by Cannon shrapnel can also take damage from the explosion.
Mental Pressure gives the Cannon a Damage boost when the targets have less HP than the HP threshold, so all forms of attacks from this Cannon will do more damage.
Strategy[]
Cannon is a good crowd control tower for before you unlock better alternatives like Tesla or Flamethrower. Its explosion deals heavy damage able to demolish enemy clusters at a quick pace.
With its 150% effectiveness, Cannon can easily demolish Fast and Icy enemies since they have lower health. With Mental Pressure, it is easier to clear enemy clusters.
Cannon is best placed on Damage and Attack speed tiles. Damage synergizes with Mental pressure. Attack speed allows for more attacks and splash damage. Range may also provide coverage for Cannon if you have low research.
For abilities, use Shrapnel (Foundation without research) and Long barrel. Long barrel is a must, as it boosts Cannon's short range. Shrapnel allows Cannon to hit enemies the projectile explosion otherwise wouldn't reach. Foundation is helpful when Cannon has little research invested in it but falls out later on. Mental pressure helps Cannon finish off enemies quicker. As the game progresses, its potential decreases, so getting Cannon to level 10 as quickly as possible is preferred.

ADVINAS: On this level, you will have a new tower called Cannon.
ADVINAS: It is very effective against a large crowd, as its shells explode and cause damage to all enemies nearby.
ADVINAS: …also a little slow, and more expensive, but still try it!
Trivia[]
- When affected by Magnet, the projectile explosions will increase the MDPS, but the projectiles won't.
- Cannon's shrapnel are affected by Magnet.
- This is one of four attacking towers that has an AoE attack without any abilities. Freezing's mechanics also work in AoE fashion.
