The simplest and cheapest tower. The basic tower is single target, copes well with Regular enemies, but is not effective in the late game.
Basic Tower has Damage Multiplier as its Unique Characteristic.
Damage Multiplier simply multiplies "Damage" stat by the "Damage Multiplier" amount to determine its Tower Damage.
For example, A Level 20 basic tower with max upgrades will deal 57 * 1.76 = 100.32 damage per shot.
For every tower experience level, Damage Multiplier increases by 4%.

Valuable experience - Once Valuable experience is learned, the sell price is modified to 100% of the cost spent on upgrades and the tower itself. Upgrading the tower after Valuable experience is learned will still only add 50% of the upgrade cost to the sell price value.
Ultimate - Once Ultimate is learned, Basic tower will search for another tower within 1 tile distance of itself. If multiple towers are found, then a random tower is selected and will create another copy of the selected tower at an empty platform within 1 tile distance of the Basic tower.
- The Cloned Tower's Upgrade Level is set to 40% of the selected tower's upgrade level and its EXP is set to 100% of the Basic Tower's overflowed EXP accumulated after reaching Experience Level 20.
- If the cloned tower has Starting Level researched learned, it's experience level will be set first and then applies the transferred EXP
- Cloned towers cannot exceed their Max Upgrade Level / Max Experience Level. For example, If the cloned tower's max upgrade level is 3 and the selected tower is upgrade level 10, the cloned tower will be set to level 3.
- If no tower is nearby Basic Tower, it will select itself instead and will clone itself.
- If there are no space available for the new cloned tower to be placed at within a 1 tile radius, nothing happens wasting the ultimate ability.
- It cannot clone modifiers or resources
- Only activates once upon learning the Ultimate, nothing happens while the Ultimate is learned.
Basic Tower is a very cheap tower which costs 48 coins to purchase. Upgrading Basic Tower costs far less than most of the other towers, with L9 -> L10 only costing 1,100 coins.
With a grand total cost of 2,897 coins (excluding research), Basic Tower is one of the cheapest towers that can easily get to Level 10 when combining with Upgrade Price discount researches. At the beginning of the game, Basic Tower can be upgraded to Level 5 or Level 6 before the first wave starts.
Not only does it excel well against Regular enemies dealing 150% damage to them, but also most of the early waves spawn Regular enemies. It also does well against Toxic enemies also dealing 150% damage to them although you probably wouldn't use Basic towers on them.
It can deal with Fast/Light enemies well since it will do full damage to them but provides no support against Air enemies and dealing 50% damage to slow enemies
Basic Tower, as the description says, doesn't scale well into later waves. Not only because enemies have more health but also more complex enemies will spawn which basic tower won't cope with. It doesn't work well against clustered groups of enemies and its tower upgrades don't scale well into the later waves.
Later in the waves, it is best to sell it once the Tower Experience Level reaches 10 to buy another tower. With Tower Experience Level 10, it makes the transition to other towers much easier by giving you 100% of the coins spent on all upgrades and purchase cost before reaching Tower Experience L10.
Should Basic Tower be used as a primary tower (which is not recommended), it attacks very fast and scales very well with Tower Experience Levels as it indirectly increases the tower's damage output. Because of this Basic Tower is a strong choice against bosses without spending a large amount of coins for it. Against a group of enemies, it has a chance to be able to hit two enemies which has some small capability of attacking multiple enemies at once.
However Valuable Experience is essentially useless when used as a primary tower since it won't be sold at all.
Basic Tower's ultimate allows you to create another tower essentially for free with few upgrade/experience levels. This allows the cloned tower to gain a boosted headstart. Make sure you have a free space around your Basic Tower or else the ultimate will be wasted.
If the cloned tower if Basic Tower, it can essentially start a chain reaction as cloned Basic Tower can be cloned again once it reaches level 20. For best results, use a balance modifier to connect to the EXP L20 basic tower to quickly level up cloned Basic Towers to exp level 20 quickly.
If there are no space available to use the Ultimate and you need the modifiers/towers, it is better to get the Powerful Ultimate instead as it will have much better use than cloning ultimate.
Best tile placement: Damage, Attack Speed, or Bonus Coins
(Damage and attack speed tiles are the best, its the same reasoning as the optimal 2 abilities)
Bonus Coins tiles are also a good choice since you can generate more coins on kills with Basic and you are able to keep all money spent on upgrading Basic thanks to the Valuable Experience ability.
Optimal 2 Abilities: Double Gun and Large Caliber or Double Gun and Foundation
Double Gun and Large Caliber are self explanatory. Large Caliber gives 25% more damage alongside it's "Damage Multiplier" giving it a even greater damage boost. Double Gun is good since Basic has very good attack speed.
Foundation and Double Gun pair synergizes with one another. With 20% more attack speed, it triggers more Foundation ricochet effects allowing it to weaken a second enemy.
