Can attack only flying enemies, but is relatively cheap for the amount of damage it does.

Unique Characteristics

Anti Air has Burn Chance and Burning Time as its Unique Characteristics.

Burn Chance - The % chance each attack will ignite the enemy

Burning Time - The amount of time (in secs) the enemy is burned taking damage over time

Levelling up the tower increases Burn Chance and Burning time

Burn Chance: 5 + 0.2%/Tower Experience level [Max: 100%]

Burning Time: 15 + 0.35/Tower Experience level seconds

Other Characteristics

Antiair attacks have a chance to set enemies on fire, applying the burning debuff.

Affected enemies take damage equal to this tower "Damage" stat every second. However burning effect will remove any slowing effects that would otherwise be applied by Freezing (Tower)Freezing towers.

Antiair significantly gains more exp per attack since because antiair has only 2 targets to attack (Heli/Jet)

Aimed drop - Air enemies that die will explode in a X tile radius dealing (25% of the killed air enemies' max health) to all ground enemies. Does not damage Air enemies such as Jet/Heli.

Strategy

Antiair as the name sounds can demolish Air enemies especially dealing 150% against Heli.

Early in the game before you get access to even Minigun or Tesla, it is your go to tower as it is able to attack air enemies.

With extremely good attack speed, range, and damage (higher tower upgrade level), and very low cost. Antiair takes care of air enemies really well. In addition, its unique characteristics which is the burn ensures their death outside of its attack range since the duration is very long. 15 seconds at the start.

Place anti air distant from other towers due to its long range and be able to cover majority of the map.

Always check the portal to see what enemies spawn, if there is no air enemies, consider not upgrading Anti-air at all since it won't be able to help attack ground enemies. Though upgrading anti air even without air enemies can also increase its MDPS for abilities as you efficiently gain a lot of DPS with the least amount of gold.

The burning helps deal with Jet enemies since freezing effects don't work on them. However the long duration doesn't really mean much especially with maps with shorter path. By the time they entered the base, the burn will still be up.

Downsides

However outside of air enemies, it is pretty much a sitting duck with the inability to attack anything. Because of this it won't gain any experience at all and only through passive exp generation sources: Modifier: Balance, Modifier: Mining Exp, and Exp Generation to be able to increase tower experience level.

Most waves are usually ground enemies leaving Antiair towers unused for most of the game. There aren't many mixed enemies waves feature Jet/Heli with ground enemies.

Avoid using Anti Air near Freezing Tower due to its burning attacks that can remove Freezing Effect from Heli enemies which negates Freezing Tower effect. The burn however is fine for Jet enemies since they are immune to Freezing.

It is better, especially with more tower unlocks throughout story line, to use Tesla, Missile, Splash, Minigun, Multishot, and Laser for your air defences since they can not only target air but also ground units, being more versatile.

Best tile placement: Damage and Attack Speed

Both help increase its impressive stats especially with Heavy Weapons/Fast Mechanism upgrade boosting both stats by 25%

Optimal 2 Abilities: Heavy Weapons/Fast Mechanism

They are both self explanatory. Boosting its impressive Damage and Attack Speed by 25% becomes a terror amongst all air enemies.

Foundation is horrible. It rotates decently fast and shoots fast projectiles.

Aimed drop is by far the most useless experience level 10 ability mainly because waves either feature air only waves or ground waves only. This ability is really hard to use as the impact only attacks ground enemies and not air enemies

The only time you see this is with Jet/Healer waves but Jet's have extremely low health so its damage won't do as much to Healer or in custom maps that have many portals where it can spawn a variety of enemies including air enemies.
